VIBE — Ice Cube — Who’s Afraid of Ice Cube? | March 1994

$45.00

VIBE brought together hip-hop, R&B, style and wider Black popular culture through cover stories, photography and cultural reporting.

About this issue and its era: A large question mark frames Ice Cube beneath Who’s Afraid of Ice Cube?, with a cover line identifying Joan Morgan’s interview. By this point the former N.W.A member had established a major solo voice through politically charged West Coast rap and had begun building a film career. This early VIBE issue captures the era’s arguments about Black masculinity, representation and the relationship between hip-hop and mainstream media.

Issue: VIBE, March 1994. Physical vintage magazine; one copy available.

Visible cover condition: Heavy creasing and rubbing near the upper-left corner and spine, surface scuffs, worn edges and corners. A mailing/subscription label remains over the lower-left barcode area.

Interior pages, inserts, posters and binding have not been inspected; no claim of completeness or a formal condition grade is made. Photograph shows the actual copy offered. The background has been removed, with artwork, labels, creases and wear preserved.
