De La Soul’s Posdnuos, Trugoy the Dove and Maseo helped expand hip-hop through inventive sampling, humour and reflective writing. Their fifth album, Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump, arrived in 2000 and includes Oooh with Redman and All Good? with Chaka Khan. The first AOI instalment carries the trio’s identity into the new millennium.
