Gladys Knight & the Pips perform Curtis Mayfield’s songs for Claudine, the film starring Diahann Carroll and James Earl Jones. The soundtrack pairs Knight’s deeply expressive voice with Mayfield’s sensitive writing about love, work and everyday life. It is a memorable meeting of 1970s soul and Black cinema.
