Los Angeles trio Tha Alkaholiks—Tash, J-Ro and E-Swift—built a reputation for lively wordplay and party-ready boom-bap. Their 1995 second album Coast II Coast expands that approach with jazz and funk textures, including Daaam! and The Next Level. It is an important link in the Likwit Crew story and the group’s mid-1990s run.
